Staffordshire Social Services ignored yet another child

How my sister went from good kid to jail
by RICHARD CASTLE Last updated: 30/03/2010 18:04
AN 18-year-old girl has revealed how her big sister turned from a “good kid” to being jailed for faking a kidnapping and trashing a sheltered flat.
Speaking exclusively to the Mail, Jasmine Marshall has revealed what it was like growing up with selfharming sister Jessica.
Jasmine, who says her family will not welcome Jessica back post-sentence, admitted she longs to have “the old Jessica” back.
She said: “Jessica was a good kid. She was happy and content and would help me and mum look after the younger kids.
“But then she started secondary school, got in with the wrong crowd and started stealing from shops and her friends.
“She then started stealing from her own family, smoking and skiving school.” Jessica, 19, was spared jail in October after admitting staging the kidnapping of her 16-year-old friend and making ransom demands to her mother.
However, last month she was sentenced to 14 months after being convicted of trashing a flat at Burton’s YMCA sheltered housing complex.
When arrested, she was found with a knife and a wrap of amphetamine.
Jasmine said: “Jessica has turned to a life of crime, not because she wants to, but because she just wants help and to feel like she fits in again.
“It’s also down to the amount of drugs she was taking, which messes with her head.
“I miss having my big sister around, but, looking back on all the things she has done, the kidnap is the most hurtful thing.
“Hearing about this from my dad made me sick. I can’t believe she would do something like that – it’s the lowest of the low.” Jasmine said that when Jessica reached her early teens, she would routinely run away from home and tell social services her stepfather had beaten her.
She said: “Social services never believed her, as Jessica would contact them so often that it became a joke.
“Maybe if they had done something to help her when she needed help, she wouldn’t be the way she is today.”

  1. They don’t have time because the secret family court criminals force social services to investigate homes where there is no abuse, such as they did with me. John Hanlon had to come to my house twice and waste 6 hours or more of his precious time so that he could invesigate spurious claims made against me by wiocked people such as the freemason rapist who used the secret family court as a means of stalking me for years on end, and the horrible old ratbag psychologist Joanna Simpson Blake who, in tow with Leslie Hughes and the solicitors Inderjit Thind, and Murray Cantlay, tried to fit me up

I was fortunate in that Mr Hanlon was not only a highly well respected member of his team, he was also a decent and honest man, and obviously entered into Social Service work for all the right reasons, which is more than I can say for some of them, is Leslie Hughes, who was ever so upset that the investigation of myself was to be done by Mr Hanlon, rather than someone else they had obviously got lined up ready to commit perjury in order to protect their little gang of criminals.

So yes, I agree. I feel sorry for the good social workers, it must be hell for them, because of the corrupt ones who are giving them all a bad name.

  2. It is getting ridiculous. They are taking kids off people who don’t need their kids removing and leaving kids who are being abused to die. It makes me wonder if this sick government is doing all of this on purpose. it is doing my head in to be honest.

  3. Social workers don’t have time or resources to help those in real need of support because they are far too busy utilising public funds chasing best value performance indicators, and throwing hundreds of thousands of pounds at care proceedings and foster carers. Even a family support workers main role is now to supervise and observe contact sessions rather than fulfill the role they were intended, to SUPPORT FAMILIES IN NEED !!!!!
